I have an old painting which has a date of 1843 on the front along
with a W or V V.. . On the back of the wooden frame is a card
blackened with only part of the printing reading: (part missing)
unburger(german for citizen) on one line and the second line is
Kunstler Verrins:(german for artist Verrins). There is also a J 8 or a
58. It measures 13 1/4 X 10 7/8 . The theme is an evening landscape
with a very large pointed roofed home with lantern light painted in
the windows. A boat sits at the rivers edge with a person fishing. A
town can be seen in the background on the right. Felled trees of
varried sizes are along the river bank in the foreground. Any
information on this Artist would be appreciated and his or her other
works .
