I am a small business owner who is in need of a bunch of stock
photography of sports (specifically tennis & baseball). If you use a
stock photography service, it is in unbelievably expensive for what
our needs and budget are. I am hoping that a product exists out there
comparable to the CD-ROMS of clip art that can be purchased at almost
any retail outlet. Something like 30,000 pieces of clip art for
$39.99 kind of thing. The only difference is that instead of clip art
it would be sports photographs (the higher resolution the better...).
Once I purchase this CD, I need to have rights to use any image I see
fit for in house advertising. I have done preliminary searches on
amazon and officemax.com but not found anything. With that said, I
have not dug real deep. I do not want to purchase pictures on a one
at a time basis- I only want to be able to buy many pictures at a
time. Thanks!

You should check out this site:
http://www.istockphoto.com
They have by far the cheapest stock photos I've found - most are
between 1 and 5 bucks. There are also options for buying collections
as well - but if you'll never need 30,000, and want to instead buy
specific photos at a reasonable price, I wouldn't suggest any other
place.

Pricing ranges (usually) from $1.00 - $3.00 (Low, medium and high
resolutions), and can continue upwards with even higher resolutions
(I'm talkin' real high, like 6000x6000). They also have illustrations
(EPS and AI) available for vector fans, as well as some flash/sound fx
and other misc stuff.

Check it out.

Not quite as cheap as istock, but with perhaps higher quality is
http://www.totallyphotos.com. You might give them a try if you are
after very high resolution images.
