I'm trying to find out the market size of person-to-person loans.
Specifically, I'd like to know:

1) how much is informally lent in the US ($ volume)
2) how many individuals are informally borrowing/lending
3) any information as to what the proceeds of the loan are being used
for (e.g., downpayment on a house, starting a business, etc.)
