What is the easiest way to get a simple website up and running? I'm open to any suggestions from books to read, to setting up a website through an excisting service! |

My first free website was created using Yahoo! Geocities. http://geocities.yahoo.com/ps/learn2/HowItWorks4_Free.html I used their page design tools until I learned HTML from the web using sites like... http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey/reference/html_cheatsheet/ http://www.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/tut/ There are some good books out there, too. If you would like another free host you can try Freewebs. http://members1.freewebs.com/ |

I agree with typeusernamehere-ga, except that I used the design tools on http://www.freeservers.com to build a free sub-domain site. (http://<your site name>.<one of 20 pre-set domains>.com) |

You might try a blog instead of a website. With a free blog, you can practice posting text and images to the Web, and experiment with some HTML. |
