Our website was banned or blacklisted from yahoo. Its been like thie for about 5 months. We tried filling out some form to remove the ban, waited for 2 months and nothing happened. We need a company or person or an idea on how to get back in the yahoo search engines. I was originally blacklisted because I had all kinds of links and keywords at the bottom of my homepage. I have removed those a long time ago. Please help me get an assured way of getting back on yahoo!!!!!!! | |

Dear lizmall, Unlike some of the commenters below, I do not recommend replicating your site content under another domain name. Such a dishonest tactic is liable to cause you more trouble in the long run. Once you have removed all objectionable material from your site, which I believe to be the case after my recent perusal, it should be ready for removal from any blacklists. It is not surprising if a free submission form is not responsive, since these forms are often conduits to an unsupervised mailbox or to a vast backlog that will not be cleared for months. For faster response, I suggest you turn to Yahoo's paid submission service. In particular, Search Submit Express guarantees inclusion in the index after your site has passed an editorial review. Search Submit Express includes an optional pay-per-click program, but it will suffice for your present purposes to pay the $49 submission and review fee. Yahoo: Search Submit Express: Pricing http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/srchsb/sse_pr.php This is the course of action I would take if I were in your place. It is more prudent and less expensive than the alternatives. Regards, leapinglizard |

Why not just register another domain, copy the site over to that domain (using similar keywords in the domain) and submit it to Yahoo!? I don't see why that wouldn't work. |

Change your domain whois information like you were selling the domain and site to someone else, send an email to yahoo (or try to call them, even better) stating that you are the new owner of the domain and explain them the situation and tell them that you want to apply for being added to their directory. Pay for yahoo express inclussion, and you are done 99,9%. |

As of May 2005, Yahoo is not removing any bans. They are in the process of updating their system allowing for a better process to dispute bans and get your website re-reviewed. In the meantime, the only thing to do is to create a new domain for your website YOURDOMAIN2.com, copy all the pages there and submit the second website for inclusion in Yahoo. It will get crawled and your pages will show up again within a week or two. Your current domain being banned from Yahoo doesn't mean you are losing any links from other sites to you. The only thing you are losing is that your site wouldn't come up when searching for your target keywords on yahoo, because yahoo is not indexing the pages of your site. To fix that, simply copy all pages and create a YOURDOMAIN2 website and then your pages will be listed in Yahoo. The one important thing you need to do is - change your robots.txt file on the YOURDOMAIN2.com to prevent Google from crawling it. Reason: Google will penalize you if it finds YOURDOMAIN2 is a duplicate site so we block Google from scanning it. Follow these steps and your pages are guaranteed to show back up in Yahoo. |
