Which 8+ megapixel digital still cameras can do double duty as a Webcam compatible with AOL Instant Messenger video conferencing? How would they interface with my Windows XP laptop to act as a Web camera (USB, firewire, video capture card, special drivers)? I am in the market for an 8+ megapixel digital camera with 7X+ optical zoom, articulated LCD, good battery life, low shutter lag, that can also provide continuous video out to be useful as a Web camera when it's not being used as a still camera. Here's my short list of 8+ megapixel digital cameras: Nikon CoolPix 8800 Konica Minolta DiMage A2 Olympus EVOLT E-300 Canon PowerShot Pro1 Nikon CoolPix 8700 Konica Minolta DiMage A200 Sony DSC-F828 I'm open to others meeting the stated criteria as well, but these units have that have the still camera features I want. However, I can't tell whether or how they would work as Webcams. |

there is no camera on the market with 8 mp which has the webcam facility as well. all the 8 mp cameras are made keeping in mind the photography aspect not the webcam purpose |

Any way around this? After all the camera can be connected to the USB port. Any program anywhere to use this option? |
