I am trying to find a woman in a wheelchair that wrote me a love
letter in 1972 in San Francisco. Her name was Kitty Gray. Surely there
must be some database of people who are confined to wheelchairs that
would help me with my search. I was 18 at the time (now 48) and I
believe she was about my age or older. She also had a dear friend who
went by the name H.B. and whose real first name was Helen but I do not
remember her last name. I want to tell he how much her letter has
meant to me since experiencing great sadness in my life, and to make
sure she is O.K. Who can help me find this needle in a haystack (her)?

Dear mahonri_moriancumr,

If she is still in the Bay area this sounds ideal material for
http://www.craigslist.org

Craig has a wonderful community, the missed connections and personals
sound appropriate. Obviously her or her friends need to be able to see
the ad and recognise her from your posted description.

Wishing you luck,

Speaking as a person with a disabilty, there is no "database of people
confined to wheelchairs" We don't live in Natzi Germany, dude. Also
saying "confined to a wheelchair" is insensitive. The correct person
first languge is USES a wheelchair.
