dear jackwc

I think it highly unlikely that a researcher will come up with a
definitive answer to your question.

I believe the reality is that ANY company with more than 20 employees
will have a de facto head office even if most of the employees still
work from their own home. For smaller companies the "head office" may
well be the home of the owner or managing director.

I also suspect that many now successful companies were run out of the
homes of the company founders but as they grew they would ultimately
end up acquiring a head office.

Dear DPRK007,

Thanks for your comment - the reason for asking the question was to
try to get a feel for whether the company I am involved in running is
in fact the largest company in the world without an office. We have 25
full time employees all working from home, but are keen to establish
any other contenders before we do our press release!

Thanks,

Jack
