Hello frosty1,

The website of science fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer provides full
outlines written for five of his novels (as well as for two novels he
sought to write).

"Outlines and Synopses"
SFWRITER.com
http://www.sfwriter.com/ouindex.htm

Mr. Sawyer is a professional writer -- a prolific and apparently
successful author, as a search for his name on Google indicates. See,
for example:

"Robert J Sawyer"
FantasticFiction
http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/authors/Robert_J_Sawyer.htm

- justaskscott

Search strategy --

Searched on Google for:

outline novel
"robert j sawyer"

This is a good start, but these are more proposals than outlines. To
be more specific, I need to see a lengthy example (3 to 5 pages) or a
full length, chapter by chapter outline, written by a professional
writer. The genre is not important.

I realize I could have been more specific the first time. I am willing
to tip generously for something more expansive. Thanks.

OK, I'll see what I can find.

I'm not finding chapter-by-chapter outlines. I have found this lengthy outline:

"Hunting for an Agent (with Sample Synopsis)," by John E. Stith
Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America
http://www.sfwa.org/writing/OP71.htm

Another page has two "short" synopses:

Internet Archive cache of "Conquering the Dreaded Synopsis: Lecture
Four - Short Synopsis Examples," by Lisa Gardner
Rose City Romance Writers
http://web.archive.org/web/20021220062151/www.canby.com/buzz/syn_lecture_four.htm

I hope that this information is helpful.

Thanks for the try. I realize it's hard to find full outlines.
