I have a small amount of wine for personal use that is sitting in
American Airlines Cargo at SFO airport. Unbeknownst to me when I
shipped it from France, California requires an Alcohol import license
to import wine. How can I get the wine cleared from US customs so I
can retrieve it from American Airlines Cargo? I have less than 15
days to address this problem.

Find someone with an Alcohol import license and give the wine to them.
They shold pay some taxes for importation and then they could sell it
back to you.

In Italy things goes in this way ....
