Question ID: 561487
I received a judgment against me in New York without being served,
and, ofcourse, w/o knowing that a trial was taking place without me.
Luckily I can prove it. My question: what does the Court do in such a
case?

Was this a federal or state court? A criminal or civil case? What
was the judgment? How long ago was the judgment entered?

Of course, see the disclaimer. The plaintiff would have had to
certify that they served you with notice of the suit. If you can show
you were not served then file a motion with the court to re-open the
case. You most likely need the services of an attorney. Good luck.
