I received a judgment against me in New York without being served, and, ofcourse, w/o knowing that a trial was taking place without me. Luckily I can prove it. My question: what does the Court do in such a case? | |

Of course, see the disclaimer. The plaintiff would have had to certify that they served you with notice of the suit. If you can show you were not served then file a motion with the court to re-open the case. You most likely need the services of an attorney. Good luck. |
