Question ID: 561511
Where are the closest car rental locations to Manhattan
that can be accessed via train AND
are not subject to the absurdly high, NY Metro rates?

Avis or Hertz prefered, but any major rental company is ok.
Idealy, I would like a location in each of NJ, CT, LI, and somewhere going north.

Extra $10 gladly given if it can be accessed via a ride subway <30 minutes
from the Village.

Weekend rates are now >$100 a DAY to rent in Manhattan, and around $30 in the burbs.

Should clarify that the train station needs to be walking distance
from the car rental location, and does not need an expensive cab ride.
