sheet at the open house for snack. Each parent is responsible for a
snack starting with a letter of the alphabet. My practical joking
hsuband signed me up for the letter "k" What should I send on my
kid's day? I have thought of kiwi, but am not so sure kindergarteners

Good evening nkamom and thank you for the question. It's a brain
teaser and a hard one at that! :) But I think I have listed enough
choices that you can find in your local grocery store. I'm sorry I
couldn't think if healthier ones.

Kraft Cheese Bites or String Cheese

Kool-Aid - pair it up with a K food. They make great Kool-Aid drinks to go

Kool-Aid Gels

Keebler Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

Keebler Graham Crackers

Keebler "on the go" snacks

Kettle Brand Potato Chips

Kettle Corn Popcorn Balls

Kellogg's Rice Krispy Treats - Try this site for some neat recipes:

Klondike Bars (ok...a little messy!)

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

I hope this answers your question. If you would like clarification
before rating my answer, please do not hesitate to ask!

How about kettle corn?

You can make your own, or get some from Orville Redenbacher and his ilk.

An even easier option: Keebler cookies or crackers!

Key lime pie? (Perhaps that would be a bit messy once kindergarteners
get their hands on it.)

I can't imagine a kindergartner who wouldn't want a Hershey's "Krackle Bar."

I wouldn't take Kool-Aid, or doughnuts. Have you seen a classroom of 5
year-olds after being hyped up on Kool Aid and doughnuts!

Take juice or milk, and pretzels, goldfish crackers, Kix cereal, Kasha
(A grain) crackers, or anything nutritious, and make a fake label. For
Example, if you can't find Keebler Pretzels, change the label! For
example "Granny's Pretzels" to "Granny K's pretzels" or "Kiki's
Pretzels". Send something nutritious, not sugar laden or full of
artificial colors!

Kale with Ranch dressing for dipping!

Kohlrabi (Looks a little like turnips) Expose the kids to new veggies and flavors!

Kiwano - a melon, originally from Africa

Karrots?

Krackers?

Good luck!

kix bars sound yummy :) easy for little fingers, and not too bad on
the sugar... peanut butter for protein and "even mom's love kix",
right? right? eh.

Thanks for your all of your helpful suggestions. The school did send
home a note saying that they prefer healthy snacks. I like the Kix
bars idea. I think kids will like them and not too bad on the sugar.
I did come across Kudo's in the snack bar aisle. I think I would be
banned from snacks ever again if I brought Krispy Kreme Donuts and
Kool Aide. Hmmmm. Maybe that's an idea.

I cannot agree with most of the answers of food beginning with K as
they are Brand names usually trade marked or copyrighted goods.

Laptop,

I cannot agree with you either, as you have missed the point.
