What are the top twenty stocking distributors of security products
(i.e. companies that import security products by buying and stocking
product before reselling) in the United States?

My guess is that this list is likely to be pretty similar to the list
of the largest home products retailers -- Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes,
etc. -- as they all stock a lot of security products, probably
out-selling even the stores that are security-only.

Is that the sort of list you're looking for?

sadly not, otherwise we might be able to get this ourselves!  Stocking
distributors are the people who sell to the likes of Home Depot etc.
Home Depot will not buy from individual manufacturers- if they did,
they would need to have contracts/dealings with thousands of different
manufacturers (because of the huge number of products they stock). 
Instead, they buy through stocking distributors who carry 20-100 (or
more) different lines of stock.  Therefore, Home Depot etc., will only
have to deal with 200-300 distributors.

We are looking for these distributors who specialise in security products.

I can provide you with a list of some of the top companies, but it
will not list 20, what I can also give with that though is the
procedure with which you may use to find the remainding companies.

This sounds great- how many companies roughly could you get us?
