Hello, I need to either find a developer able to develop a web based service tool likened to webex's "support centre" tool or Citrix gotoassist. Helpful information might be companies who have been contracted to developed existing service tools similiar in nature to webex and gotoassist. Ultimately I know that the development work for this project is costly, but finding a developer who has the relevant experience in developing this type of product seems to be a task in itself given the vast number of software development companies around. Obviously any further background knowledge of who the guys from webex got to develop theirs might help (although I do know they poached a microsoft employee, if poached is the right word). Finding a software developer who has programmed such a web based tool would be an added advantage. Given that there are many smaller online based companies offering similiar services to webex and gotassist (like netviewer or gatherworks, gatherplace) I would find it highly unlikely that all of these comanies developed their products in house and expect that some where there is a software developer that has developed such a tool!!?? Anyway as stated I need this information as part of a project I am working on. This project is not about to compete with giants such as webex, but for this project to take off I do need this software developing. Anything you can find out to help me would be greatly appreciated. Regard Ian |

Insite Interactive based in Dallas, TX specializes in such projects. For an extremely important project, ask for Adrienne Beam. Here are some articles posted on their website from numerous Dallas newspapers and magazines: http://insite.net/site/press_releases.cfm I used them for many projects when I was a Regional Manager for Home Account Internet Banking and I was never dissatisfied. -Winston |

having read a lot of content on there site, at present I can only view them as yet another software developer. I dont see any infomation on there that pertaints to my query, but I could have missed that?? At the end of the day I am looking to find definitive evidence that a developer has been involved in the design and development of such a software tool that I seek. Can you continue your search with perhaps some more specifics? Regards |

Tere are two options: 1) Try signing up at rentacoder.com and putting the problem up for auction. There are some competent developers there. 2) Check out http://www.mamboserver.com/ Mambo is an open source CMS (Content Management System) that has all the bells and whistles you will ever need. |

Yeah I have tried the rent-a-coder, Elance, Scriptlance route, not something I can regard as credible routes, given there are some sharks on there and knowing who is reputable and who isnt is work in itself. I have already been stung on this project using these route and have since lost money to them. Thanks for that all the same! Ian |
