Hi donbreuner:

To solve your problem, you must use the inverse tangent function. In
many cases, this is written as atan() or arctan().

There's a nifty calculator on the following page that shows that:

atan(1/2) = .4636 radians = 26.565 degrees.

Search Strategy (on Google):

Fantastic and quick. I thank you! This may help avoid turning my
tractor over on a steep hillside.

The Google calculator is even niftier, as it supports plain English.
No special URL is required, just use the standard Google search box..

A google search for: atan(1/2)
returns: atan(1 / 2) = 0.463647609
typing in: atan (1/2) in degrees
returns: atan(1 / 2) = 26.5650512 degrees

Simple as that!
