Having used a WinTel laptop all along, I decided to experiment on a
switch and went out and acquired a Mac iBook as a start up machine.

My Mac iBook is with an OS X version 10.4.1.

I use Lotus Notes v 6.0.4 for my company email and collaboration software.

I really like the Mac interface and have managed to also configure my
Lotus Notes to work on the Mac Platform.

Unfortunately I am not able to increase the point size on the Lotus
Notes interface for the Mac. I have followed instructions as given on
the IBM Lotus website, as well as on the Apple forum help, however the
point size is still a minimum 8 or 10 points, making it very difficult
to read.

Can someone please guide on how I can increase the font point size and
select the Style on the Lotus Notes software on Mac

Hello,
This is a known issue for mac users. I support Lotus Notes for nearly
5,000 users and 1/8 of them are on Macs. Lotus Notes preferences are
stored in a file called notes.ini. On any other platform that Notes
runs, this file can be edited as text file. On Mac OS X, this file is
stored in binary as a preferences file in your library. The only way
to edit this file to is download and install a utility like NiniX
(made by kissworks). Here are some step-by-step instructions that I
found on the web: http://newemail.uncg.edu/documents/mac/ninix/nini-x.html

Just a note - I recently ran this utility on my mac (10.3.9) and it
hosed my Notes :)

Sorry, I did not understand the term "and it hosed my Notes"

Could you clarify.

I understand that you are suggesting that running this utility will
FIX the notes font size problem? Correct?

I have been trying so many times to get on the kissworks.com website
to download the utility you had forwarded me to. I cannot get to it,
is it possible you can give me another site to get it from.

Thanks
