Hi- I am headed up to Southwestern Colorado & was wondering if there
are any rivers in that area that are fishing really well right now?
Specifically, I am interested in fly fishing for trout. I would love
to know some specific locations I can get access to & what flies I
should be using. Thanks.

Howdy bajasun-ga,

The Colorado Division of Wildlife "Fishing conditions by region" web page,
with its information, "More info" and "Interactive Map" links is what lots
of us "locals" use as a reference site.

Here is a sample entry for southwest Colorado.
http://wildlife.state.co.us/dowfish/index.asp

"Uncompahgre River in Ridgway Park - Flows are low and clear. Flyfishers do
best nymphing during the day with a Caddis Emerger or any beadhead. Switch
to a Caddis dry or #12 Stimulator in the evening."

Southeast Colorado (the Arkansas River) is my turf (or is it surf?) and
beadheads work nice around here, this time of year, as well.

If the above would work as an answer to your question, please tell me, and
I will post it as such, with some more references. Thanks!

Looking Forward, denco-ga - Google Answers Researcher

I am not familiar w/ the Arkansas River. How far is the Arkansas
River from Dolores & where specifically do I go on it?

I should have been more specific. I am going to be around Dolores, CO
& I want to know if there are any rivers that are fishing very well
right now & where do I go to get access as it always seems like it is
mostly private property?

That is it. I guess it is a hard question to answer but I will be
happy to pay you but would appreciate a little more info. Thanks.
