Dear rai130-ga,
I think your may have read it on the London Cycling Campaign web site.
?Despite its reputation, it really does not rain that much in London.
If you ride to work at the same time every day, the chances are that
you'll get wet about 12 times a year. On those days when it really is
raining heavily, you can always get the bus, tube, train, or take the
car - or just put your rain jacket on get out there, and find out what
fun it can be to ride and not care about getting wet.?

As the figures will show below, that may be right if you?re only going
to be riding for an hour a day (it?s all a matter of odds which is the
calculation I referred to).

I hope this helps.
I recall I had to cycle to work back in 1975. On the first day the
heavens opened and I was like a drowned rat. The next two years were
no problem at all with two of the hottest summers in record. Perhaps
you?ll be as lucky.
