Hi newjerzygirl,

I've not been able to find a list online of accredited veterinarians
online. The website says to call the Area Office (which is in Tempe
AZ) to locate an accredited veterinarian.

"The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health
Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), administers the
National Veterinary Accreditation Program (NVAP). This voluntary
program certifies private veterinary practitioners to work
cooperatively with Federal veterinarians and State animal health
officials."

I contacted that office in Tempe and they said that they couldn't
"refer" me to a list of USDA approved veterinarians because that would
be bias. They said to look in the phone book and ask each individual
vet if they were USDA approved. That seems insane to me. The main
gov't site says that they would "randomly" suggest a vet, but the
Tempe office said no. I was hoping for maybe a published list of vets
in my area.
