I need help with the name of a movie, I have been searching for years,
not much to go on,
I saw this film on the SBS Cult Movie on Saturday night 9:30 in
australia, around the Mid 1990's or so it was probably made in the
80's i think
Scandinavian or Eastern European movie
I saw it subtitled into English don't know what language they were speaking
plot: a warrior stumbles into a small village in the hills, mortally
wounded, and is helped into health by the towns people (particularly a
young woman where a slight love interest develops)
then once healed he leads the town to war with the neighbouring town.
starts of sombre and gets slightly humorous/surreal by the end.
fight scenes are with swords and clubs, not modern, no guns or
anything of the sort, set around the medieval times or there abouts I
think.
main character is a warrior/knight he arrives on horse back, full
armour etc, encourages the
people in the town that they can beat the nasty village over the next
hill (close by whatever) I do remember when it started off there was
not much dialogue.
I remember a scene, where the good guys are fighting the bad guys,
(the healed warrior is giving them words of encouragement before the
battle because they are all pesants and are scared) anyway they are
fighting, and a good guy takes a swipe at a bad guy, (bad guys are in
full armour) then you see the bad guy standing there with no head....
suddenly his head pops up from within the armour unharmed (turtle
like)
this was more of a black comedy whilst quite violent and quite surreal
