Question ID: 562870
I am going to be traveling in Europe next month and will be in Paris
when UCLA plays Oklahoma in football at 12:30pm on Saturday September
19th. What time will it be in Paris and is there a sports bar that
will be showing college football games?

Dear clarkperkins-ga;

There?s really no guarantee with regard to who is showing what
sporting event or that the showing might be subject to change without
any way of knowing for certain this far in advance (and this far away
geographically). Your priority will be to first find a sports bar in
Paris that is even showing American sports. What?s actually ?played?
in the bar that day depends on what the locals like (or maybe on who
the biggest dude in the bar is, and what HE likes to watch).

Two of your best bets are the Canadian bars THE MOOSE and THE BEAVER.
They both frequently show sports on both SKY Networks and NASN (North
American Sports Network) that broadcasts lots of college and other
sports.

THE MOOSE

(You can access 'The Beaver' from this same link)

La POMME d?EVE is an English speaking South African bar located in
Paris that also plays sports on NASN. Their schedule doesn?t go as far
as Sept. 19th but it might be worth the fort to look into this one as
well.

Given the difficulty and uncertainty of the factors surrounding your
question, are these sufficient as an answer?

PS: If you notice, on the LA POMME d?EVE (on the right margin) the site asks,

"SPECIAL EVENT ?"

To me, this suggests that the bar will, under certain circumstances,
arrange for you to hold a special event and perhaps see a particular
broadacast of your choice. If so that would be cool, huh?

Yes, this answer is sufficient. Thank you for the links, I will email
them and ask for any schedules they have and inquire about the
possibility of bribery! Could you tell me what time it would be in
Paris when the games starts at 12:30pm PST? Thanks a lot.

Dear clarkperkins-ga;

Having gained your approval to post my answer I am reposting my
information here (plus new information regarding the time differences)
in order to officially close your question:

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Also for your question about time differences between the United
States and Paris France, local time in Paris is 9 hours ahead of Los
Angeles, California USA (a location that observes Pacific Standard
Time ? PST). Therefore, at 12:30 PM PST, Los Angeles time, it will be
precisely 9:30:00 PM local time in Paris, France. (By the way, if you
haven?t been there before and don?t already know, most of Europe
recognizes the 24 hour clock, so it might also be helpful to know that
9:30 PM is interpreted as 21:30 hrs.)

Finally, if the business you contact don't have the games you are
interested in on their schedule, they might know who does, or they
might even be willing to check around for you.

I hope you find that my research exceeds your expectations. If you
have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. Otherwise, I welcome your rating
and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again
in the near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.
