Is there an adapter for using the Apple Cinema Display screen on a Windows PC?

I'm discarding my buggy Apple computer but would like to use the
display as my second monitor on the Windows machine.

Hello curiouscalifornian-ga

Thank-you for your question.

The technical specifications of the Cinema Display can be found on the
following page:
http://www.apple.com/displays/specs.html

This states:
"Windows-based PC with graphics card that supports DVI ports with full
single-link digital bandwidth and VESA DDC standard for plug-and-play
setup. PC support for the 30-inch Cinema Display requires dual-link
DVI capability."

Therefore you require your PC to have a graphics card that supports
the above specification. You should be able to discover this by
visiting the website of manufacturer of your graphics card.

If you require any further information on this subject or require any
further assistance please do not hesitate to ask for clarification and
I will do my best to respond swiftly.

Thanks for the answer, but I'm looking for the physical connector that
allows me to plug the two together, assuming I have, or can obtain,
the required graphics card.

The connector will depend on the connectors on your graphics card and
on your display. What connectors do you currently have or are
missing?

The DVIator or Gefen links I gave in my original answer would be a
probable solution.

The image on the page below shows the correct type of connector on a graphics card:

Apple also sell an adapter but from their information I cannot
determine if it is PC compatible:
