Dear Wolfenheart,

Your first address might be the Red Cross, as they deal with refugees
in your area. Here are several links to organisations, where you can
volunteer and help.

Volunteer Match lists opportunities to volunteer in your area (in
general and also in the context of the hurricane):
Volunteer Match for your zipcode (77082)

BBC - Agencies seeking cash donations and volunteer help:
<http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4204066.stm> - this is a list of
mostly religious organisations. If you are a member of a religious
congergation, even if not mentioned there, check with your community,
they might already organise something, especially given the number of
refugees in Houston. Similar list of organisations seeking
donations/volunteers is available here and includes more religious and
"secular" organisations:
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
