My daughter is moving to NYC, specifically 105th and Broadway. She
will need to find a home and bath furnishings store, such as Linens
and Things or out here in Los Angeles, we also have Bed, Bath & Beyond. What
would be the store name and where would the closest one be to her
location? Thank you so very much for your help!

A search at Mapquest's Yellow Pages on the address "W. 105th St. At
Broadway" under the Housewares --> Retail category results in these
listings:

http://makeashorterlink.com/?F27B52F81

According to this, the two nearest stores that seem to fit the
description are:

World Houseware at 2617 Broadway
Lechter's Housewares at 2875 Broadway Fl 1

It appears that both Lechter's and World Houseware specialize in
kitchen goods, so here's an equivalent listing for department stores,
most of which offer a wider range of goods, and probably come closer
to the variety of goods your daughter will be looking for:

http://makeashorterlink.com/?R34C42F81

There are too many to list here, especially not knowing your
daughter's taste and budget, but the list includes quite a few stores
across price ranges and categories, sorted by distance from her
address.

The nearest Bed, Bath and Beyond is 2.8 miles away, at 410 E 61st St,
and it looks like the nearest Linens n Things is over ten miles away,
in New Jersey:

Linens 'n Things Inc
6 Brighton Rd
Clifton, NJ
973-778-1300

There's also a smaller and more organized listing of housewares here:

http://www.ny.com/shopping/housewares/index.html

There are a number of stores listed here that may be useful. (For
example, Williams-Sonoma sells primarily kitchen supplies, Pottery
Barn offers general home accessories, etc.)

And here's ny.com's listing for department stores:

http://www.ny.com/shopping/department/

I hope this answers your question. If you want more specific
information on any of this, or if you'd like something clarified,
please feel free to ask for a clarification.

Good luck,
Lisa.
