I am working on some research that involves the effects of offshore
outsourcing. In particular I am most interested in the impact and
vulnerabilities (i.e. access to proprietary data) associated to those
firms and government who use offshore outsourcing companies that
outsource themselves(e.g. US company uses an Indian outsourcing
company who then turns around to use a Chinese outsourcing company in
either the traditional outsourcing terms or to complete the work
assigned by the US company). Included in this information should be
types of outsourcing that occurs in these situations.
Also, I would be interested in finding out information on the services
that IT and BP offshore outsourcing offer (and any other general group
of offshore outsourcing that is done) in the traditional sense as well
as the trends that are occurring.
In both cases, the functions/services must be grouped together
according to ITO or BPO within 3-4 major headings for each (which can
then have several sub headings). I do not want individualized
services such as Data Centers, Application Development, etc with a
paragraph of info underneath it. The impacts and vulnerabilities
(including individual country problems) need to be tied into these
service offerings.
This needs to be in an essay format, therefore, an introduction about
these service offering and the definitions of ITO and BPO, the body,
and a conclusion (if possible). Any sort of charts or diagrams that
you find useful and can point me to are also helpful. There needs to
be a minimum 2 pages written (there is no limit). I need a somewhat
preliminary write-up in the next 3 hrs, but I need it complete by Sept
6, 2005. The more complete, the better the tip.
