HCUPnet is a great source for patients receiving treatments that
require them to stay in the hospital, but is there a similar website
that provides information for patients getting treatment as
outpatients that do not require hospital admission? For example,
patients being treated with lasers for port wine stains (a type of
birthmark)?

Perhaps the National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery would be helpful.

"The National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery (NSAS), which was initiated
by the National Center for Health Statistics in 1994, is a national
survey designed to meet the need for information about the use of
ambulatory surgery services in the United States. For NSAS, ambulatory
surgery refers to surgical and nonsurgical procedures performed on an
ambulatory (outpatient) basis in a hospital or freestanding center?s
general operating rooms, dedicated ambulatory surgery rooms, and other
specialized rooms such as endoscopy units and cardiac catheterization
labs. The survey was conducted annually from 1994 through 1996."

Dear Lauren0125,

Did any of the above links help?

Unfortunately I didnīt find anything similar to the HCUPnet resource.
That doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Perhaps you can post a new
question and another researcher might find the exact information you
need.

Sincerely,
Bobbie7

Hi Bobbie7,

Thank you for providing the links below. Unfortunately it looks like
all of the data in those sights are from 1994 to 1996, which is too
old to be particularly useful.

Dear lauren0125,

I'm sorry that I couldn't find more up to date information for you. I
would suggest that you close this question and post a new question
asking for something similar to HCUPnet for outpatient treatments.
Perhaps another researcher is aware of a resource that I haven't seen.

Sincerely,
Bobbie7
