Back in 1995 or so, my wife had a cassette tape of Christmas music
that she liked. We lost the tape. The artist was something like "The
Trembles" or the "Temblers" or something like that. They were three
or four females, maybe sisters, and their sound was a *LOT* like the
Andrews Sisters, although they weren't of that era. I have been
unable to find a replacement tape or CD anywhere. Can you help? |

This may or may not help. She lived in Philadelphia at the time, and
it is entirely possible (although in no way certain) that the
"Trembles" were a local group. I have nothing to lead me to believe
one way or the other on this, but if it helps, so be it.

I am fairly certain it is not the Chenille Sisters. The group
definitely was the Trembles. The comment by austin_trill-ga was
correct, they definitely were acapella. I followed his link and then
emailed Victorria Johnson, but haven't heard back yet. Still looking
for a place to purchase their album(s).

I received a reply from Victorria Johnson. There was no label that
the Trembles Christmas album was produced on, they kinda did it "on
their own" she said. She also said: "Keren (Deere) Taylor would have
those cassettes/cds and she moved to LA last year." I am still
searching, and still hoping.

I've located Keren Taylor's email address and asked her if she would
be able to sell you a replacement tape or cd. I'll let you know as
soon as I hear back from her.

I've heard back from Keren Taylor and she said that she does have the
tapes and would be happy to sell you one, but right now they are in
storage and she is traveling. She will be able to access them in
about a month. I have an email address for her - if this is ok for
you, I will go ahead and post it as an answer.

Yes, that is an acceptable answer, as long as she will be expecting me
to contact her. Can you also provide the mechanism you used to find
her? I searched using all my tricks for her email address, and came
up empty.

Sorry for the double post on the clarification!
Keren Taylor's email address is kerenontheroad (at) yahoo.com.
Replace the (at) with @ and smush it all together to make it work -
this way she's less likely to get automated spam from programs that
run searches on web pages for email addresses.
Since the spelling of "Keren" is unusual, I did a Google search on
"Keren Taylor". We knew she was in Los Angeles, so I picked up on the
fifth link down - http://www.bmts.com/~damilos/news34.html - which
quoted a web page that had a letter from a Keren Taylor in Los
Angeles. I then loaded the original web page that it quoted and
searched on the page for her name. Next to her name was an email
address (it's actually a different one from the one I gave you, since
she'd rather not have the other one posted here) which I emailed and
asked if she was once in a group called The Trembles. She answered
back that she was, and so it went from there.
If not for your tip from Victorria Johnson's email, I wouldn't have
been able to find out any information, so be sure to do something nice
for yourself in payment!
I hope you enjoy your Christmas music this December.

I've emailed both email addresses for Keren, several times, since the
day of your answer. I haven't heard back from her at all. Now I am
wondering if she was just fooling you, or something else? Can you try
getting in contact with her again?

I've emailed her other address and asked her to check her Yahoo mail.
Hopefully she will get in touch with you soon. Please let me know if
you do (or don't!) hear from her. Thanks again!
