I am looking for 2004 numbers for the public safety market -- 2003 if
the 04 numbers aren't available yet -- that show the expenditures
(i.e., the dollars spent) in the US for Fire Depts. I'd like a
breakdown by dollars spent on general items,  (e.g., $ on vehicles and
fleet maintenance, $ on computers, $ on ...).

No, that doesn't really help me. There are other reports that also
cost money. I have already found at the Federal level dollars that are
granted towards firefighting and firefighters. I really need the local
level aggregates at this point.

Yes but on a aggregated national level -- that's just for one county!
