Hello kyreah:
I was unable to find the UMI number for ""White" Americans in "Black"
Africa: Black and White American Methodist Missionaries in Liberia,
1820-1875". However, I was able to find copies of this dissertation
for sale at a couple of places.
Start with looking at:

Websearcher - Thanks for your question. I'm really in need of the
dissertation number. The disseration has the same name as the book
you have listed, but these are two different publications. It's the

Do you have access to Dissertation Abstracts (ProQuest Dissertations &
Theses) through a library? You can obtain the UMI number for and
order a copy of the dissertation there.
If this solution is sufficient, I would be happy to post it as an answer.
