some months ago I read this rave article about a new teenage clothes
shop either in or just off Oxford St, London.

I have promised my daughter I will find it but without walking the
entire length of the street I can't find it on the Net!

Anyone know it or have any idea what the shop is.

btw it wasnt some chain store, a one-off I believe. and it may even
have been as long ago as 15 months I read about it.

Could the store be "Oasis"?

"Oasis
 Argyll Street
 Oxford Circus

Oasis is the shop that most people migrate to when they realise that 6
other people have that exact same t-shirt from Topshop / New Look /
Miss Selfridge. They make fashion clothing with a bit more of a
sophisticated edge. Most of their stock is girlie and quite elegant,
so you'll know if you're an Oasis girl or not almost straight away."

no, def. not Oasis as that is a chain store, albeit quite a good one!
no, the surprising thing when I read this absolutely rave review was
that it was a one-off shop but in the heart of the West End.

I believe you may be looking for a clothing shop within the Thomas
Neal Centre, 29-41 Earlham Street (a couple blocks off Oxford)

This is a trendsetter?s heaven. Some say it?s a bit pretentious but
there?s certainly no better place to pick up the latest streetwear
collections.

The inside of this gentrified warehouse has been converted into a
fiercely hip medley of designer outlets. The shops are strewn across
two floors of rustic wooden interior, nicely complemented with a neat
flagstone courtyard below where young socialites mingle, attempting to
out cool one another. There are a few cafes and bars where you can
pass the time of day, supping on a latte or a lager.

All the shops flog labels aimed at the young, wealthy and not
particularly smart. There?s Lambretta, High Jinks, Quiksilver, Skate
of Mind, Hope?Glory, and FACE, to name but a few.
