Hi, I think if you're a Microsoft IE user, you can try to choose another web browser such as Opera or Firefox, they will provider you more control on many aspects of web page, java (script), animation and etc. And I consider that what you encountered is made by java script. You could disable the feature in your web browser and try again. Good luck. F.Y.I Opera http://www.opera.com/ Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ |

If you go to the following site you can run a utility called "ShieldsUp". It will tell you what your computer shows to the world in terms of IP address and whether any location is explicit or implied. If your IP address is dynamic within a range then re-visiting the site will let you see how it changes. www.grc.com Look for and run the ShieldsUp scanner. Secondly, the idea of IP substitution is implemented by various competing products, some of which may be free. One aspect to consider is performance--you don't want to slow down browsing *too* much. The following is a *not* free product. http://www.freedom.net/products/websecure/ |
