Are you trying to find out if you're descended from elves? http://dragoncourt.org/UBBThreads/printthread.php?Board=469&main=4975&type=post Presumably we all have these two genes. I assume that your interested in determining which alleles you possess (those that predispose you to melanoma or reduce your risk for vCJD). You would need to provide a DNA sample and from there the samples would be amplified and then sequenced. These are pretty standard laboratory procedures. While I don't know of any places that are providing these kind of services, I assume (since there are labs that will clone your pet cat for you) that you could find a facility somewhere, if you are willing to pay for it |
