I am interested in learning more about the revenue stream of an ice cream business. I am NOT talking about a company like Edy's who makes ice cream and distributes it to supermarkets. Rather, I am speaking about an actual foodservice location (similar to that of a Baskin Robins, etc. store front). I am not interested in combination locations either such as places that sell ice cream and pizza. I am interested in businesses where the chief product without question is ice cream. Also, the information you retrieve should reflect the Northeast United States (Boston is the main focus if possible, but neighboring New England states is sufficient). Basically, I am trying to figure out how the revenue stream of this type of business is impacted by the cold weather of winter. I would like percentages showing how much less business is done during these cold months as opposed to the summer months. I am interested in sales in dollar amounts, as well as number of customers serviced. Most importantly, all information supplied MUST be sourced for documentation purposes. |

IN Germany, the traditionally Italian ice cream parlors close for the winter, maybe in October, and reopen in April. |

Hi, i lived in California many years and i saw the ice cream business very close. y do not have numbers but what i know by experience, is that in winter time you are going to sell just 20 % of what you sell en summer, unless you sell soft yogurt with out calories ( 50 % ). there is a magazine : dipper. try more information with them. good lack! let me know, what do you find out. |
