Can someone tell me how many operations to remove part of the liver (called
liver resections, partial hepatectomy, lobectomy) are performed in
France each year?

I'm not sure, but PMSI (the Program of Medicalization of the
Information Systems) may have some of this type of information that
can be downloaded.

Hi Bobbie7,

I think that codes 22.1, 22.2, 22.3, 22.4, 22.7 and 22.9 take care of
all liver cancers, so these would be of interest. I am guessing that
"Interventions sur le foie" would refer to liver resections under each
of the disease states.
