Two questions!

#1
What is the ideal technical spec for the fabric of a men's knit shirt
made out of synthetic fabrics (no cotton blends)? The shirt will have
a pattern that is a relatively standard long sleeved with a collar,
but I want it made out of synthetic fabrics and have unique prints.
Other than the print, it would be something that you could wear to
work. It wouldn't be worn tucked in. Basically it would be something
similar to what was worn in the 1970's in the USA if that helps.

-I want the shirt to be light to medium weight.
-It needs to have a smooth hand, but not rubbery. I haven't found any
blends that contain spandex or lycra that I really like. I have
shirts that are 100% nylon and a 65% acetate/35% nylon that would be a
perfect fabric, and 100% polyester blend that all would work pretty
good.
-It needs to stretch along the fill but not the warp.
-Ideally it would be machine washable, at least before I received it (pre-shrunk).
-I want to do printing on it.
-I would like to have the fabric treated for anti-bacterial finish to
control odors.

I know this is a broad question, so I'll break this down into 6 questions below.

-If I wanted a shirt to stretch along the weft but not on the warp,
what type of mill would this be knit on? I'm under the impression
that a warp knit is probably what would work best, and that I wouldn't
want to use a circular knit mill. Is there any other type of knit
that would work better than a knit done on a warp knit mill?

-What sort of knit type would I be looking for? In other words, is
there any other type of warp knit besides tricot?

-What has to happen to the fabric before I can print on it? I've
heard that it has to be dyed and treated before it can be printed. I
understand needing to be treated first, but I don't understand why it
would have to be dyed.

-Is there any other types of finishes I should consider besides the
anti-bacterial finish? If possible, I'd like to have something
applied that makes washing it easier also. Anything else?

-What weight is a good weight for the fabric to be? I want it to be
relatively sheer, but not see through.

-What sort of printing can I do on the fabrics? I don't plan on doing
any silk screen, but what other options are there?

Can you find several knitters in North America that can source this fabric?

Thanks in advance!
