I?ve noticed that, in my experience, women seem much more eager to
have and raise children than men do. In fact, if I were to quantify my
anecdotal findings, speaking about people who have not yet had
children:
I would say that 75% of women aggressively want children, and 25% of
women don?t want or aren?t enthusiastic about the idea.
I find the opposite is true for men ? 75% of men don?t want or aren?t
enthusiastic about having children, while 25% aggressively want them.
Interestingly, men seem to seem to ?warm up? to kids once they have
them, but certainly not to the levels women do. I?d say 50% of men
with kids never quite become enthusiastic about even their own
children.
I am looking for poll data or other quantifiable evidence or data that
illustrates the ?actual? desires each gender has toward procreation.
