kkat...

It would help to know if you want to 'block' this entity
from sending you mail, remove his name/address from your
address book, delete all mail which has come from this
entity, or all of the above. It would also help to know
what email program you are using, be it AOL, Eudora,
OUtlook, Outlook Express, etc...

Do you wish to stop receiving mail from a specified address?

Do you use an email client program (e.g. Outlook Express) or do you
use web-based email (e.g. Yahoo)?

Clarification will help a researcher to answer this question.

Or do you mean "this email address is my own; I do not wish to receive
bulk mail to that address"?

If so, then you're out of luck. There's not a lot you can do,
realistically, without either (a) hunting down every spammer who gets
hold of his address and making sure his 'net connection is revoked, or
(b) scrapping it and getting a new one, which you never tell anybody.

Note the "never tell anybody" -- even if you only tell it to your
three best friends, chances are it'll still get public at some time
(perhaps when your friend sends a chain letter to you and other
people, and the other person in this way gets hold of your email
address).

Also, ways to get bulk mail more quickly are to post it to a web site
which is frequently visited and to use it while posting to Usenet. So
both of those are no-nos for addresses you wish to keep spam-free.
