Communicating the gospel complies with what Jesus asked us to do at Matthew 28; 19,20. " Go make disciples....baptising them....teaching them...ALL THE THINGS I HAVE COMMANDED YOU...until the conclusion of the 'system of things'...This is NOT limited to the New Testament. It means the whole Bible. Jesus never denied anything written in the Old Testament, the history of the Jews. By not denying it, he agreed to it. Even from the age of 12, he discussed it with the teachers' [Luke 2;46-47]. To communicate with people of other countries, some with no knowledge of Christianity, it is necessary to know the language of that country. And their customs, to avoid social embarrassments. To get Jesus' message to people with other beliefs, your teaching cannot be forced on them. To a very large extent, it is up to those people to have a humble enough attitude and an open enough mind to simply listen to what you have to say and then, again up to them, as to whether or not they act on what you have told them. 1Thessalonians 1;4 "For we know brothers loved by God, His choosing of you". Matthew 12;18 "Look!, my servant whom I chose..." John 6;70 "I chose you 12, did I not?...1Corinthians 1;27,-29" God chose the foolish things of the world..."...It seems as if Almighty God has something to do with choosing who will listen to his word, and looks for humbleness and compliance. No matter what language is spoken. |

How about not annoying people. I swear I want to deck that woman who stands by the subway preaching with a microphone. She should be arrested for disturbing the peace. |

This could be one place to start looking. Regardless of how you feel about the Seventh Day Adventists, they are the people familiar with all the points that you are asking about. http://lds.about.com/od/mormonmissionaries/ |

Mayo, The link you've given is not to an Adventist site, but to a LDS (Mormon) one. |

Nelson. Would you be as equally annoyed by someone spruiking outside a two dollar or record store. My guess is that you would simply ignore it. If you have any belief at all in the scriptures, would you be bold enough to approach a stranger to tell him/her of your belief. You may not believe this, but the message that Jesus was trying to get across to us is LIFE SAVING. Come Armageddon, everyone doing what Jesus asked will be saved. Everyone not will be destroyed. Better to have a Bible shoved in your face [ gently of course] than a .357 revolver. |
