Hi, I want to know how is a car salesman compensated in CA and in general US. I believe they have three part compensation scheme. 1] base salary + benifits - what are average salaries? do they depend upon the geographical location? do they depend upon the delearship sizes? and do they depend upon car manufacturer? 2] sales commission - On average how is the sales commission calculated? does it depends upon the car price or is it decided by number of cars? or any other factor? How are internet sales compensated? 3] Performance bonuses- How are these calculated? I would like to have as much data as possible. Any links to the surveys, or marketing research in this matter will also be useful. Thanks in advance |

It varries from dealer to dealer. There is no "Set percentage" |
