Is it possible, for a single man, to bond and create both physical and
psychological contact with a family of wild gorillas in the
forest/rainforest within (and only within) a 3 month period of his
first encounter with them?

two of my friends made a bet about this topic. one of them was
convinced that this was possible. the other was convinced that it was
not possible. we need an answer. yes or no? :)

Divorced, widowed, living-in won't do too.
Is your friend who bet it can be done married? Presently married? Has
he been to and stayed in a forest for about 3 months? Ummm,...

You want a yes or no answer.  I would say, absolutely no.
Of course, the guy betting against you could take a long vacation and
prove me wrong, but I would suggest having a third party hold the
bets. ;)

I could imagine that alpha males have a special antenna to recognize
philandering males of any ilk.  Maybe the females do too, but I
wouldn't want to push the "physical and psychological contact" with
old "Silverback" around.
