Question ID: 566040
I have set up some VB code to carry out a search on a field called
'ErrorDesc' in a database table via a form front end. The last field
in the table is called 'Check' and registers a single bit value
(true/false).

I want to carry out the search so everytime the VB code finds an
instance of my search string in the 'ErrorDesc' field, the code places
a value in the 'Check' field for that record. This is so that I can
later run a filter on the check field and hence showing a list of
seach results on my form window rather than having Access jump to the
record where it finds a match for my search string.

I've tried looking to see if Access has an action that is set to 1 or
'true' when it turns up a result from a subsequently executed search
(using the DoCMD.FindRecord... method). If there was/is something like
this then I could perform an 'if' statement on the result of the
action and then instruct Access to place a value in the 'Check' field.

Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.
