   Some of the most common organisms that cause respiratory infections are:

1)  Streptococcus pneumoniae.

2)  Mycoplasma pneumoniae

3)  Staphylococcus aureus

4)  Haemophilus influenzae

Hello again,

   One of my colleagues, knowledgeseeker-ga has suggested you may have
meant that you were interested in what kind of organisms can cause
respiratory disease, and not necessarily which organisms.

   The type of organisms that can cause respiratory infections are
bacteria, viruses and fungi. Parasites too can cause lung disease.
