Two part question:
1. How do I find all domain names owned by an individual or company
knowing only there email address and one website they own. I know that
www.whois.sc offers a reverse ip domain name search yet I do not know the
ip address. What is the cheapest way to find this information either free
or a low charge under $100.
2. How do I find someones ip address to look up all domain names owned by
an individual or company. Is it useful to even do a reverse ip domain name
lookup using whois.sc since the ip address might not even by a static ip
address.
Basically I'm trying to find all domains a company and individual owns and
want to do that the cheapest and easiest way possible. |

Can you give us an example of a company/owner name that you'd like to
know more about in terms of what domains they own?

Dear Answers382729,
There are no free services for the searches you require; however there
is a fee based service that would meet your requirements.
Name.com
Reverse Whois allows users to perform advanced searches in Name.com
Whois catalogue. With this tool, users may search for domain names by
any relevant variable-registrant name, phone number, etc. Results are
then returned in a professional report that includes full Whois data
for each flagged domain name.
Prices are not published on the website.

Please let me know if this service would be an acceptable answer to your question?
Thanks,
Bobbie7

Hello again,
I understand what you're looking for, but I had asked for an example
so that I can demostrate the type of results that are possible on a
company of interest to you.
However, I'm just as happy to demonstrate on a company picked
willy-nilly, in this case, my phone company.
There is indeed a source that allows searching on domain name ownership.
And as much as I hate to take issue with my good colleague, bobbie7,
the search is **free**.
However, the results -- in my experience -- are sometimes very good,
sometimes not.
Here's what search results look like for a search for sites owned by Verizon:
304 domain names were returned from the search...that is, Verizon
appears to own 304 sites.
The first 20 on the list look like this:
1 verizonstrike.info
2 verizonpuertorico.biz
3 ussarentacar.com
4 turquesajoyas.com
5 touristquickguide.us
6 touristquickguide.org
7 touristquickguide.biz
8 paginasutilespr.net
9 paginasutilespr.com
10 maderasoriano.com
11 idelsanunez.com
12 floristeriamargarita.com
13 broadbandlive.info
14 broadbandlife.info
15 broadbandlife.biz
16 bestservicerentacar.com
17 a1securityco.com
18 wdpr.net
19 vwmcemployees.com
20 vwmccamping.com
But is a site like [ a1securityco.com ] really owned by Verizon?
I checked their whois record, and sure enough, the registrant information reads:
Verizon Information Services
Monica Bell
13135 Lee Jackson Hwy #110
Fairfax, VA 22033
US
Phone: +1.7038157974
You may want to spot-check some of the other names, to see how
reliable (or not) the results are.
Anyway, if this service seems suitable to you as an answer to your
question, let me know, and I'll post the details of how to access it.
Cheers,
pafalafa-ga

answers382729-ga,
No, it's NOT name.com. It's a different service, and there is NO
CHARGE to conduct a search.
Please re-read my comment from September 12 (above). If this sounds
like a useful service for your needs, I will gladly post the details
as an answer to your question.

Thanks for getting back to me on this.
Here's what to do. Head to the Dialog Intellectual Property tools site at:
http://openaccess.dialog.com/ip/
On the left-hand side of the page, you'll see some hypertext for
"Domain Names". Click on this, and you'll be taken to the Domain Names
search form.
NOTE that the Dialog service is fee-based service. However, you can
conduct your initial search of site owners at no charge. Only if you
decide to pull up the full record for a particular search result would
there be any fees assessed.
On the search form, you'll find some pretty self-explanatory
text-entry boxes, and check-off items. In particular, take note of
the [ OWNER ] box. If you enter a company name here, or even the name
of a person, you'll presumably get results of all sites owned by that
entity.
Also worth noting is the [ CONTENT ] check-off options, where you can
opt to search current Whois records, historical Whois (nicely dubbed
'WhoWas'), or both combined.
As I mentioned earlier, my search for Current Names for [ Verizon ]
led to 304 results.
A typical results-page listing looks like this:
==========
304 titles in Domain Names
Select titles on this page, then click (You will still have a chance to cancel!)
1 verizonstrike.info - Domain Names - US$3.65
2 verizonpuertorico.biz - Domain Names - US$3.65
3 ussarentacar.com - Domain Names - US$3.65
4 turquesajoyas.com - Domain Names - US$3.65
and so on...
==========
As you can see, each record costs $3.65 to pull up a complete Whois
(or WhoWas) record.
I trust this is just the information you were looking for.
However please don't rate this answer if you find you need additional
information. Instead, just post a Request for Clarification to let me
know how I can help, and I'm at your service.
Cheers,

I have done what you said in your answer yet it does not work on
peoples names, for example I typed my own name in the search field and
it did not even bring up one of the websites that I own up.

I'm not surprised to hear that. The Dialog search is kind of touchy,
and as I said earlier, it sometimes produces excellent results....but
not always.
Try searching on just your last name, and see if your sites pop up.
Let me know how that works.
