I was told over lunch - It is an american publication and could be
weekly but more likely monthly. That is all of the information I have.

US News & World Report is one of the largest magazines that summarizes
news both local and international:

There's one in the UK called The Week which summarises the British and
international press and is pretty good.  I think it has now gone

must be the same one because the masthead and format are the same.  I
can recommend the Uk version!

Weekly mags could be Time and Newsweek.  Atlantic Monthly could also be a choice.

Major mags that cover "local, national and international" are not good
on "local" unless it happens to be of national significance.
