We are in need of a sewing contractor - someone with the capacity to
sew silk into items that are similar to women's scarves.  It would be
helpful if they were able to make patterns from actual samples, too. 
I would prefer they be in the New York metro area.

She does not do any kind of sewing though, as I understand from her
website.  So, I'm still in need of a sewing house who can actually
produce the items.

I don't understand.
Do you want silk cloth sewn to make items that are similar to women's scarves?
     Perhaps that would just be hemming.
Or do you want silk machine embroidery on scarf-like items?
In which case the 2nd point could be preparing computer-patterns for
the embroidery machines.
Or is the 2nd point making sewing patterns from a completed prototype of a garment?
Any clarification will help.
This is just a free comment.

I NEVER said anything about embroidery.  I'm not at all interested in
any kind of embroidery.

I also didn't say anything about hemming.  I specifically stated SEWING.
