It seems the StarSat website is of little use, though
you can download the eMUpgrade.zip file from this page,
if you don't already have it:
http://www.star-sat.com/download.html
They also have this page, which seems to offer a way of
manually inputting the data for certain channels:
http://www.star-sat.com/la-cafetera.html
Also, if you go to this page and click 'Receivers', and
then 'Free to Air', and then 'Details', it notes:
- Fast channel download from satellite
as well as
- Firmware and channel data can be downloaded through
RS232 [cable connection] from PC to set and from set
to set.

While the Star-Sat site doesn't seem to offer any
channel data files, a post at Satellites.co.uk offers

I don't own this satellite receiver, so I'm working somewhat
in the dark here, but I believe the files I've found are the
ones you're looking for. You may need to consult any manuals
you have in order to learn how to use them, as these manuals
don't seem to be available on the manufacturer's site. Let

mr_anderson...
The step-by-step instructions (with pictures) are contained
in the 'How_to_Use_eMUpgrade' zipped document file I pointed
you to on this page:
http://www.satdw.com/viewdownloads.asp?name=3-SR-X150D&main=group4
Here's a direct link to that file:
http://www.satdw.com/downloads/How_to_Use_eMUpgrade.zip
The instructions are:
"1. Link PC to STB with RS-232 Cable"
The RS-232 cable needed is a 9-pin female-to-female
cable that looks like the one in this page, from
RoxSat.biz:
http://roxsat.biz/product_info.php?products_id=163
The pin wiring diagram showing the active pins on
the cable is available from that same page, in a
zipped PDF format file:
http://www.satdw.com/viewdownloads.asp?name=3-SR-X150D&main=group4
Here's a direct link to that file:
http://www.satdw.com/downloads/CABLE_PIN_CONECTION.zip
Most PCs have 2 9-pin male serial port connectors on the
back of the PC. Either one should work for this purpose.
Your receiver should have one, as well.
"2. Run eMUpgrade Program"
The eMUpgrade program is available on the StarSat page
I gave you:
http://www.star-sat.com/download.html
Here's a direct link:
http://www.star-sat.com/eMUpgrade.zip
You need to download that program, unzip it, and install
it on your Windows-based computer, and then run it.
"3. Check 'Download'"
As illustrated in the image in the unzipped document:
http://www.satdw.com/downloads/How_to_Use_eMUpgrade.zip
"4. Browse the file Location"
Browse to the area where you downloaded and unzipped
the SR-X120_130_150_4000CH_V7_18_7_05.zip file, which
is available on the page I gave you:
http://www.satdw.com/viewdownloads.asp?name=3-SR-X150D&main=group4
Here's a direct link to that file:
http://www.satdw.com/downloads/group4/3-SR-X150D/SR-X120_130_150_4000CH_V7_18_7_05.zip
When unzipped, it will be named as follows:
SR-X120_130_150_4000CH_V7_18_7_05.sgn
Browse to the location of that file, using the dialog
in the eMUpgrade program you are running, as illustrated
in the images in the How_to_Use_eMUpgrade.doc which I'm
quoting.
"4. Select *.sgn"
Select *.sgn as the type of file you are opening, in the
'file type' box at the bottom of the dialog window, as
illustrated in the images in the How_to_Use_eMUpgrade.doc
which I'm quoting, and then select the file you unzipped:
SR-X120_130_150_4000CH_V7_18_7_05.sgn
"5. Press 'Start'."
...as illustrated in the images in the document file,
How_to_Use_eMUpgrade.doc which I'm quoting.
"6. Turn off the STB and turn on."
Turn off your receiver and turn it back on.
"7. STB will download the updated S/W from PC."
Your receiver will download the updated data from
your computer.
"8. When download will be done, you will see these messages.
First: Checking the S/W?
Second: Download Complete!!!
Third: Please Wait!!
Fourth: Download Success!!"
"9. Next STB will be Rebooted"
Your receiver will reboot itself (if it doesn't reboot
automatically, you might need to reboot it manually).
"10. And check the Version in Main menu."
It should display the new version.
"Caution: If there is a difference between Model ID of STB
and Model ID of sgn file, then download won?t be started!"
More of a note than a caution, this is saying that if the
sgn file doesn't match the model of the receiver, then the
download just won't take place.
That's about as step-by-step as I can make the process,
short of being in the room with you. I hope that helps.

mr_anderson...
You asked:
1) What is STB is it a software or a Hard ware can u a little
explain about it? you saied some where about Rebooting STB
how can i do that?
STB means Set Top Box and is just another name for your
receiver.
2) is that Cable that connect Pc to Reciver called RS-232 Cable?
i mean if i tell to shop kepper that give me a Rs-232 Cable
he will understand what i want?
Yes. Specify a 9-pin female-to-female cable as illustrated at
the link I gave you:
http://roxsat.biz/product_info.php?products_id=163
3) you didnt say where in my Reciver Menu( contol panel)
Should i go and then Connet my reciver to Pc
You don't need to go into the receiver control panel.
The process I described takes place on the PC monitor.
4) where should i exactly connet that Rs-232 to my Pc
( mother board) and where Should i connet it to my
reciver is there any pic that show this?
There are no pics of your receiver available, but the
cable in the illustration in the answer to 2, above,
will plug into a 9-pin male connector which will be
obvious on the back of your computer and your receiver,
as in this picture:
http://www.expansys.com/i/l/l103677.jpg
There will be only one such connector on your receiver,
and, at most, two on your PC. Either one on the PC will
work.
5) what do u mean by Rebooting Reciver How should i rebot it?
do u mean to Press the power buttem twice ?
The way the instructions are written, I would expect the
receiver to reboot by itself, with no action on your part.
If that doesn't occur within the space of a few minutes
after the "Download Success!!" message in the step-by-step
process I provided, then, yes, you could turn off the
receiver and turn it back on after about 15 seconds.
According to the instructions, I expect that it will
reboot on its own.

mr_anderson...
You asked:
1) is all the Channel will be avalible to watch or only some of them?
As I noted earlier, I don't own one of these receivers, but
from the name of the file, it would seem that 4000 channels
would be made available:
SR-X120_130_150_4000CH_V7_18_7_05.sgn
2) please tell me exaclty when i connet my reciver to Pc should it be
off or On ... as u know in this kind of reciver when u press Power
buttom it will show u the lass channel that u see befor (for example
MTV) then if the reciver is showing the Tv channel i Update it?
or I need To press Menu bottum then go to STB seting and in Reciver
Update ?
The best rule of thumb is never to plug a cable into a computer
while it is on, so I would apply the same reasoning to the
receiver, as well, and would turn both the receiver and computer
off while attaching the cable.
As for pressing the menu button and going to STB setting and
receiver update, it probably couldn't hurt to do so, but the
instructions I reproduced from the 'How_to_Use_eMUpgrade.doc'
don't mention the need to do so, and therefore I doubt that
it's necessary.

mr_anderson...
Remember the file I talked about - the zipped PDF document
that contains the wiring diagram for the RS-232 cable?:
"The pin wiring diagram showing the active pins on
the cable is available from that same page, in a
zipped PDF format file:"
http://www.satdw.com/viewdownloads.asp?name=3-SR-X150D&main=group4
"Here's a direct link to that file:"
http://www.satdw.com/downloads/CABLE_PIN_CONECTION.zip
I apologize for not elaborating on this detail earlier,
but the reason this diagram was so thoughtfully provided
by that website is because the wiring must be modified
in order for the cable to work properly.
Here's how to do that:
- Carefully strip the outside insulation off the cable,
exposing the small wires between the pins of the two
connectors, being careful not to cut any of the small
wires in the process.
- Cut the wires between the following pins (they aren't
needed): 1, 6, 7 & 8. Cut these near both connectors
and remove the wires completely.
- According to the illustration, pins 4 & 9 will have
no wires connected to them, so you won't need to
remove them.
- In the middle of the cable, at an equal distance from
both connectors, cut the wires for pins 2 & 3. Strip
off some insulation and connect the pin 2 wire to the
pin 3 wire, and vice-versa. If you can solder these
wires together, all the better. If not, just twist the
wires together and cover the connections with electrical
tape.
You will now have a customized cable for use in updating
your receiver, using only 3 wires on pins 2, 3 and 5,
with the 2 & 3 pins reversed.
If the process of modifying the cable is something you
feel uncomfortable with, you could print out the PDF
file with the wiring diagram and take it to a store
that works on computers, or perhaps even a Radio Shack,
and have it done for you.
Use the modified cable and follow the procedure as before,
and the program should update your receiver without any
further problems.
