I am giving a presentation on equity capital raising for resource
companies. I would like to include some information on the size of the
global equities market for resource companies. Specifically , i would
like to include statistics on:

1. the number of mining companies listed on each of the London,
Canadian, Hong Kong and New York stock exchanges;

2. the amount of equity capital those companies have raised since 1
January 2004 ( or such surrounding date that information can be
gathered on); and

3. the number of initial public offerings (IPO's) of mining companies
on London Stock Exchanges ( both the LSE and AIM, which is the
Alternate Investment Market) since 1 January 2004 and the amount of
capital raised by those companies as part of the IPO's ( i recognize
that this amount will be part of the total amount in the answer to the
question in paragraph 2).

 I already have this information for the Australian Stock Exchange. If
any information is found during the search on the total number of
mining companies listed on all stock exchanges, that information would
be useful but is not essential.
