I heard a story that the founder of ADP payroll service, got "lucky".
That in reality another payroll company in NJ was the first to
computerize payroll, they didn't succeed because they were too soon,
since computers were so new the bussiness industry didn't have the
confidence in computers to allow their payroll to be processed on
computer. ADP came along a year later when awareness of computers had
increased and they made a kiling, the founder eventually becoming a US
Senator.
I am looking to verify the facts of this account, and any additional
facts that flesh out the story would be helpful, ie the founders great
success, the other compaines owners failure....
I need a response by early tommorow morning. |
