Your best bet may be to get a local newspaper from that date, and look at the prices in the advertisements. |

Ouch32 -- Pink is correct but there's another excellent resource that may well be in your public library. It's a book by Grey House Publishing called ?The Value of a Dollar, 1860-2004? tracks consumer prices and wages. It summarizes many popular items culled from newspaper advertising and other sources (like the U.S. Post Office). Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |
